Where to start?
Single-handedly, helping animals appears pretty overwhelming, at least it does to me. How can each of us work to help animals, especially with the day to day demands we already have on our time & energy (& hard-earned money)? How can we do our bit, and make life better for them & help animals, while making sure that we have enough time, energy & money to spare on those things we need to do and want to do in life?
Collectively, we can all make a difference.
If every person who visited this site took one action, imagine how much that would be. If 500 people were to visit today, and take one action this week to help animals, then that would be 500 actions to help animals - better than none at all.

Go nutty for dormice!
Help the People's Trust for Endangered Species find out where dormice live on their Great Nut Hunt - the PTES need help to track nuts down, as dormice leave distinctive markings on hazel nuts as they gnaw them. And there are other wildlife surveys to get involved with, too - and a good number of animal charities will have surveys you can get involved with, especially wildlife charities such as the RSPB & ARC (that's the Amphibean & Reptile Conservation Trust)

Volunteer with animals - or volunteer for animals?
It was hard to think of a name for this site. As words go, "volunteer with animals" didn't really show up as being highly searched for on the internet, and one thing this site needs is tons of people visiting so please, if you like what you see here, tell a friend about this site. Volunteer with animals suggests that you will be volunteering alongside animals - mucking out, cuddling, grooming, all the hands-on stuff. Volunteering for animals opens the door up to volunteering in the cause of animals - fund-raising, spreading the word, adopting animals, helping with events - the cause being the end in mind. Volunteering with Animals covers the wider spectrum of volunteering for animals. Both are essential if animals are to benefit |
