Whether you have just a few minutes or more, there is much you can do to help protect & conserve wildlife & animals around the world. Some of this will involve planning ahead - for instance, spending a week helping bears in Romania will probably need a week off work & a planned trip. Others will be a whim - adopting an animal for an animal lover who has a birthday. There'll be one off annual events - such as taking part in the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch which involves one hour on a January weekend & then recording what you've seen.
So here to give you some ideas are some animals who need help. Many of these are what are called "umbrella" species - if we can help them, we'll be helping millions of other plants & animals who are in their neighbourhoods.
