Manchester Police already do this using manure from their own horses. These horses produce 12 tonnes of horse manure a month and rather than doing nothing with it, the police force are using it to generate energy and cut heating bills - so saving the tax payer money. If you don't have any horses, ponies, donkeys or goats to hand, you can always buy manure. You need a log burning or open fire at home & a brick mould or briquette maker.
The best year we ever had for roses at home was in 1976, the year of the drought when homes in Jersey were almost on standpipes.
